George and Rose, an elderly couple, caring for their mentally handicapped daughter, were living in a collapsing brick home with a rusted tin roof riddled with holes — some as large as ping pong balls. When the rains came, water poured in, soaking their few belongings and leaving them cold and sick. Their limited income made repairs impossible. Through God’s provision and the generosity of our supporters, East Trail Legacy rebuilt their home — providing a strong roof, solid walls, and a safe, dry space where this precious family can live in peace and dignity.

A New Start for Justine and Her Children

Justine, a single mother of three, had been struggling to survive. Her children were unable to attend school, and the family had no home of their own — sleeping on dirt floors in a friend’s small house. When East Trail Legacy learned of their situation, we knew God was calling us to act.
With the incredible partnership of Willow Resources, whose missions team came to provide essential labor, a new home was built for Justine and her children. Today, they have a safe place to live and renewed hope for the future — a foundation not only of brick and mortar, but of faith and community.

Each home required approximately 25,000 bricks, all of which had to be made by hand. The homeowners themselves took part in this process — hauling water, shaping the bricks, covering them with straw to dry under the Ugandan sun, and finally firing them to strength. This hands-on effort not only reduced costs but also gave each family a deep sense of pride, ownership, and accomplishment.These homes stand as living testimonies of what God can do when His people come together — across nations and generations — to serve others in love and faith.
